Dr Shan I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my OET tutor, Ros, for the exceptional guidance and support throughout my OET preparation journey. Before joining the classes, I lacked confidence in my English skills, particularly in the areas tested by the OET. My tutor's structured lessons, clear explanations, and constructive feedback helped me improve significantly in all four components: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. What stood out most was the personalized approach and dedication to ensuring that every student understood the exam requirements and developed the necessary skills to succeed. The regular practice sessions, detailed corrections, and encouragement greatly boosted my confidence and performance. I am delighted to share that I achieved Grade B in all sections of the OET. This achievement would not have been possible without my teacher's expertise, patience and unwavering support. I highly recommend Ros to anyone preparing for the OET. Her commitment to student success and excellent teaching methods truly make a difference. Thank you for helping me achieve my goal and opening new opportunities in my professional career. Dr Shan Malaysia (Feb 2026) Thea RN Ros played a major role in my sucess. Her teaching approach is excellent - she breaks down the exam format clearly and helps you understand exactly what to expect, which is crucial for effective preparation. She is also very flexible with scheduling, making it easy to stay on track. She provided practical techniques and multiple online materials that helped me practice efficiently. Because of Ros' thorough preparation, I didn’t just pass the OET — I smashed it on my first try. While the OET is more expensive than other English exams, it was the best choice for me because it aligns with real‑life healthcare practice. With her guidance, the investment was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend her to anyone aiming to succeed in the OET Thea, RN Canada (April 2026) Dr Lavneys I am truly grateful for the support and guidance I received from Ros as my tutor throughout this course. The structured approach made preparing for OET so much easier, with clear strategies for each paper and excellent online materials that I could revisit anytime. The feedback on Speaking was especially valuable – it helped me gain confidence and refine my communication skills, which led to a very good result in this area. I was delighted with my overall scores, and I feel well-prepared to take the next step in my career. For other candidates, I would say: be consistent, make full use of the feedback, and trust the process – the results will follow. Passing OET has opened the door for me to work in the NHS, and I feel much more confident about my ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues in an English-speaking healthcare setting. I would highly recommend this course to anyone preparing for OET. Dr Lavneys Malaysia (Sept 2025) Dr Hawa Taking OET tutoring was a rewarding experience in my professional career. Ros helped me tremendously with the tutoring. She identify my weakness in writing and speaking, so we were working hard improving these areas. Thankfully, I passed with a single attempt. However, it was with hard work, dedication and encouragement from Ros. My advice to other candidates is to stay disciplined, do homework and listen to the feedback. In all, taking OET has improved my confidence and communication skills. It is not a merely an English test, but serves beyond communication with patients and colleagues in international healthcare service. Dr Hawa Malaysia (Oct 2025) |
Dr Venotha When I decided to sit for the OET, I had only one month to prepare and was understandably anxious about the challenge ahead. Looking back, I can confidently say that choosing Ros as my tutor was one of the best decisions I made. From our very first session, Ros was incredibly supportive, encouraging, and professional. She quickly identified the areas where I needed improvement and provided clear, practical guidance that made the preparation process feel manageable and focused. The OET consists of four sub-tests—Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking—and each comes with its own unique challenges. Ros's teaching approach helped me understand not only the exam format but also the specific skills required to perform well in each component. Her explanations were always clear, and her feedback was detailed, personalized, constructive, and motivating. The online materials were excellent and closely reflected the actual examination. The practice exercises, sample responses, and mock tasks gave me the confidence I needed to approach the exam with a clear strategy. Most importantly, Ros was always patient and generous with her time, ensuring that I understood my mistakes and knew how to improve. Thanks to Ros's expert guidance and structured preparation, I successfully passed the OET after just one month of study. I genuinely do not think I could have achieved this result without her support. For anyone preparing for OET, my advice is simple: trust Ros's methods, complete the practice work diligently, and be open to feedback. Her experience, dedication, and genuine commitment to her students' success make all the difference. Passing OET has opened new professional opportunities for me, and I will always be grateful to Ros for helping me achieve this important milestone. Thank you, Ros, for believing in me, challenging me, and guiding me every step of the way. Dr Venotha Ganasan Malaysia (Feb 2026) Dr Azzizu When I first started preparing for the OET, I really didn’t understand the exam format. Ros explained it so clearly and made sure I felt confident before moving forward. The one-to-one sessions were exactly what I needed! Ros was always attentive and supportive, which made a big difference in my learning. She is the best!! The online materials were also very helpful. At the beginning, I struggled with focus and patience, especially for the reading papers. Ros taught me how to look for the main theme and not overcomplicate things, and this completely changed my approach. Thanks to that, Reading became my strongest skill and I was so happy to achieve an A grade in the real exam. I even came very close to getting an A in Listening, which was a big achievement for me. Overall, I am happy with my results, though I had hoped for a little more. But considering I only studied with Ros for one month, I’m proud of what I achieved—I can only imagine what I could have scored with more time. My advice for other candidates is simple: keep practicing the questions regularly. It really builds your confidence and makes the exam feel more manageable. Taking the OET has been such a valuable step for me. Since English is not my first language, passing this exam has given me real confidence in my ability to work and communicate effectively in the NHS. Dr Azzizu Malaysia (Sept 2025) |
Ranklen RN I enrolled in Ros's OET writing course as a nurse, and I was stuck at C+. I was always worried about word count and structure, especially with different case notes. Ros's approach is very clear and practical. Her online materials break down exactly what OET assessors look for, and her feedback is direct but encouraging. She taught me how to select relevant information and write with purpose, not just write long letters. For my exam on 23 September, I even wrote a 207-word letter and thought I would fail again, but I got a B (360) in Writing — and B in all other subtests. If you are a nurse struggling with writing, I highly recommend her course. She understands the challenges we face and how to overcome them. Thank you so much, Ros! Ranklen, RN Philippines/Canada (Sept 2026) Rinu RN By God's grace, passing the OET is one of the greatest achievements in my nursing career and I thank God for making this possible. A special thank you to Ros - you played a big part in this journey and my success. When I started my OET preparation, I knew very little about the exam, but Ros guided me from the very beginning and supported every step of the way. Reading was my most challenging sub-test. However with her effective strategies, detailed feedback, and valuable mock tests, I improved significantly and gained confidence for the real exam. This success did not come easily, but through hard work, faith and the right guidance, I achieved my goal. I'm truly grateful to have had you as my OET trainer and I highly recommend Ros Wright to anyone preparing for OET. Thank you once again, Ros for being part of this achievement. Rinu, RN Canada (April 2026) Dr Emma As a busy clinician balancing work, family, and academic commitments, I found Ros’s weekly classes to be a refreshing and enjoyable break in an otherwise hectic schedule. Ros is warm, approachable, and exceptionally supportive. She was always prompt in responding to emails and readily available to answer questions. One of the greatest advantages of her course was that I did not have to spend time figuring out how to prepare for the OET myself - Ros provided a clear, structured pathway and all the information needed to prepare effectively for the examination. I attended all but one of her weekly classes over a one-month period and sat for the OET immediately after completing the course. Her online learning platform contains a wealth of resources, practice materials, and guidance. In fact, due to my busy schedule, I did not have the opportunity to explore much of the extensive material available. Nevertheless, I found the classes alone to be more than sufficient preparation, enabling me to approach the examination with confidence and achieve the required result smoothly. I chose to take the OET online and found the testing platform straightforward and user-friendly. Ros also provided helpful links and guidance for online test preparation, which made the process even easier. The results were released within a few days, making the overall experience efficient and stress-free. I would highly recommend Ros’s OET preparation course, particularly for busy healthcare professionals seeking a structured, effective, and supportive approach to exam preparation. Dr Emma Malaysia (Feb 2026) Dr Yanti Never heard of OET, until I decided to join NHS via a recruiting company named Asterix. Even though I am not a native speaker, I have been using English for my professional corresponding. But you will be surprised how much I still needed to learn to get through an English test! I used to lecture, read medical journals and write instruction in English, so consciously I thought `I am going to be fine.’ But it was a revelation to discover how much I need to improve in all 4 areas. When I went through the English assessment, I realized that listening was probably most difficult. I started listening to BMJ podcasts as suggested by my tutor to familiarized with the accent and did the training to get the technique of answering right. Scrolling up and down the window trying to answer the questions while listening was a mammoth task for a `not gen Z’ candidate like me. Similarly, reading and answering online was tricky. So, I opted for paper test. It was a very good decision as I did much better on paper. Having a personal tutor is important. It is very helpful to be able to be guided and given an immediate feedback on how you have performed and how to skillfully manoeuvre the demand of the tests. I got through the exams with B in all areas and A in reading. Dr Yanti Malaysia (Sept 2025) |
